After what has been a hugely unpredictable 18 months, we’re enjoying every second of a very busy wedding season and we hope you’re enjoying seeing an insight into what goes on behind the scenes at Fiona Curry Flowers. We’re bringing you another one of our beautiful love stories today on the blog, with Tash & James’ stunning special day at Northbrook Park on Saturday 3rd July 2021.
This country house wedding venue in Hampshire really is the epitome of English elegance, with its manicured gardens, ideal location and endless photograph opportunities. It was the perfect backdrop for Tash + James’ big day and we’re over the moon to be able to share a few details about their nuptials, along with gorgeous imagery by Lydia Stamps Photography.
Tash, the bride-to-be, had asked for soft, romantic summery petals for her floral design. Our team at Fiona Curry Flowers created an abundance of lightly scented white peonies and hydrangeas paired with blush roses that flowed throughout the wedding. The bridal bouquet was brimming with the same scented white peonies, hydrangeas and blush roses – the perfect combination for a romantic, summer feel. Tash’s wedding gown was from Boo Bridal Boutique in Hartley Wintney, while the groom and his ushers looked utterly dashing dressed in black tie.
The bridesmaids looked divine in mix and match blush gowns with sequin bodices – we wanted them to feel super glam with their pompom bouquets of blousy white hydrangeas, which were finished with pale pink wraps. Tash & James also had three darling little flower girls with floral headbands and flower fairy wands – they looked enchanting!
The happy couple envisioned guests being immersed in floral delight from the very moment they arrived at Northbrook Park. When it came to Tash & James’ ceremony, we dressed the aisle with tall pedestals and glass vases overflowing with big, blousy summer blooms and trailing foliage – it looked beautiful, and it makes us smile just thinking about it. The space is also home to a grand fireplace, which we elegantly adorned with an end-to-end mass of blooms. The chairs were decorated with gorgeous blousy garlands to tie the couple’s floral theme together.
After the ceremony guests wander through the grounds and we carefully tied rose heads to ribbons, which gently moved in the light breeze and instantly set the scene for everyone.
